A Magistrate’s court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has sentenced a former sales representative with Hyde Energy Limited, Kehinde Ajani, to four years and six months imprisonment with hard labour for diverting 30,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), also known as diesel, valued N4,590,000.00 belonging to the company. Senate president, Ahmed Lawan has warned security agencies and the judiciary that captured terrorists and persons suspected of illegal oil bunkering must not escape justice. The Delta state government has sounded a note of warning to principals, headmasters and teachers against lateness and absenteeism for 2022/2023 academic session. A massive gas leak has been detected in Sangama Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State from a facility recently divested by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited (NPDC).
