Wike Reiterates Calls For State Police.
Nyesom Wike, the governor of River State, said on Friday that establishing State police would be a first step in resolving Nigeria’s security issues.

Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, claimed this in Jalingo during a meeting with party delegates from Taraba.
Last year, the governor proposed for the creation of state police to solve the problems.
His latest remark came only 24 hours after former President Olusegun Obasanjo urged for the creation of state police to help the country overcome its security problems.
