Georginio Wijnaldum headed home to earn Paris Saint-Germain a draw at Lens in injury time, as PSG failed to inspire yet again.
Just after the hour mark, Keylor Navas, who had kept Lens at bay up to that point, let the ball slide under his body and into the net after getting two hands on Fofana’s 30-yard strike.
Earlier, Lionel Messi came within inches of putting PSG ahead in the first half when he clipped the post from the edge of the box with the goalie caught off guard, but Lens had plenty of chances to go up in both halves until Fofana’s effort.
PSG had an unfamiliar appearance in attack with Neymar out for up to two months and Kylian Mbappe on the bench, however, we would expect the Argentine combination of Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi, and Messi to have enough quality to see off what should have been an easy game for PSG.
Mbappe’s introduction gave the PSG’s attack much more power, and it was his exquisite cross that allowed Dutch midfielder Wijnaldum to score and give PSG a share of the points.
PSG’s lead at the top of Ligue 1 has grown to 13 points as a result of the draw. Lens also remain fifth on the log.
