Webster Header Denies Chelsea Three Points At Amex Stadium.

Chelsea’s Premier League winless streak has now reached four games after a dismal 1-1 draw against Brighton.

Thomas Tuchel’s side started slowly, with a glaring lack of connection between Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech, despite the recalls of Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Jorginho.

However, the Moroccan made amends by putting the Blues ahead with a long-range low shot that beat Robert Sanchez at his near post.

In the first half, Graham Potter’s troops had several bright moments but failed to record a shot on target.

Danny Welbeck, who equalized against the Blues last month, was passed through on goal at the opening of the second half, but his drive went wide.

When a well-handled corner ended in a bullet header from Adam Webster, the home side finally received their due.

And, like in the previous match, the home side brought on forwards Leandro Trossard and Neal Maupay and ended the game as the stronger side, but were forced to settle for a point.

The defending European champions are third in the rankings with two points from a possible twelve, while draw specialists Brighton are ninth.
