Emma Raducanu was knocked out of the Linz Open in Austria after a long 6-1, 6-7, 7-5 loss to Xinyu Wang.

Raducanu, the US Open champion, was broken three times in the first set but came back to win the second on a tiebreak.

In the third set, break-point opportunities were scarce, but Wang capitalized on two that came her way and won in two hours and 36 minutes.

Meanwhile, Emma has stated that she would work with German coach Torben Beltz.

Raducanu hasn’t had a full-time coach since her historic win at Flushing Meadows, where she became the first qualifier to ever win a Grand Slam.

Following her exploits in New York, the British number one chose not to continue a short-term contract with Andrew Richardson.

She’ll start working with Beltz ahead of the new season’s premiere on January 17th.
