‘Thunder Fire Them’ – Wike Goes Ballistic On Ijaw Youths Over 48-Hour Ultimatum
Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has called the bluff of the Ijaw nation’s socio-cultural group after being given 48 hours to free House of Representatives member, Hon Farah Dagogo.
According to the group, a federal legislator representing Degema/Bonny in the House of Representatives, Dagogo, and others were seized on Wike’s instructions for reportedly obstructing the screening of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial hopefuls in Port Harcourt.
Dagogo was previously wanted by Wike for allegedly hiring cultists to attack the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Port Harcourt.
The Ijaw National Congress, led by Professor Benjamin Okaba, issued a statement demanding Dagogo’s release within 48 hours.
In response to the comment, Gov. Wike stated during a church event on Sunday, May 8, that the Ijaw youngsters have no idea who they are dealing with.
He claimed that instead of coming to inquire what occurred respectfully, they are imposing an ultimatum.
“Thunder fire and an ultimatum,” he said.
