A female student at Ogume Grammar School in Ogume, Delta State’s Ndokwa West Council Area, was slain by hoodlums who broke into the school.
The hoodlums destroyed properties worth millions of naira, according to the Tribune.
The hoodlums also assaulted the school’s principal, who was thought to be a cult member. She was flown to Kwale’s General Hospital for treatment.
According to the report, the cult members set fire to the school’s ICT center, principal’s office, a car, and the administrative office, among other things.
The state administration confirmed the school’s immediate closure till further notice on Wednesday.
The State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Rose Ezewu, confirmed this, during a meeting held with the leaders of Ogume community.
