Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State, has sent his condolences to Valentine Ozigbo, the PDP’s candidate in the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra, on the death of his father, Chief Andrew Ozigbo.
Okowa expressed his condolences to the Ozigbo family of Amesi in Aguata Council and the PDP in Anambra State in a condolence statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba.
He complimented the late Ozigbo, who died at the age of 93, for instilling strong moral principles in his children, as evidenced by Valentine, his last child.
Okowa hailed the deceased nonagenarian as a man of outstanding integrity who supported his son in the gubernatorial election and made sure to call the winner even before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) published the final results.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I commiserate with my dear brother and friend, Valentine Ozigbo and the entire Ozigbo Dynasty of Amesi in Aguata Council of Anambra State over the death of their patriarch.
“The deceased lived a remarkable and fulfilled life, as a foremost educationist and was always a role model for many in the society. As Headmaster and later, Principal, he was a great disciplinarian and teacher of immense repute, who moulded the lives of many Anambra people during his years in service.”
“As a devout Christian, he attended morning mass constantly until his death. Chief Ozigbo would be remembered for his outstanding contributions to God and the education sector,” the statement added.
