Obaseki Fires AAU VC, 9 Months After Appointment.

Professor Benson Osadolor, the interim Vice-Chancellor of the state-owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has been sacked by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state.

Osadolor was named Vice Chancellor in May 2021 and served as interim Vice Chancellor until his appointment was terminated on February 8, 2022.

His dismissal was made without explanation.

The governor, on the other hand, has named Professor Sunny Adagbonyi as the institution’s acting Vice-Chancellor.

The move was taken in the execution of Obaseki’s powers under the Ambrose Alli University’s Ekpoma Law and the Special Intervention Law, 2021, according to a statement issued by Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq.
