Kamaru Usman retained his UFC welterweight title by unanimous decision (48-47, 48-7, 49-46) over Colby Covington.
Usman praised Covington as a tough opponent after their rematch at UFC 268 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
Usman won their first fight by knockout in the fifth round.
He also stated that Covington has progressed since their first fight. Usman afterwards declared himself the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, calling Covington the division’s “second-best guy.”
On his part, Covington stated that Usman had a better night than he did.
