The Nigerian police force at Sabon Kaura, a Bauchi neighborhood, had arrested Enoch Yohanna for the suspected murder of his female friend Ruth Amos.
Enoch Yohanna, a 27-year-old guy, was detained in Sabon Kaura, a Bauchi neighborhood, on suspicion of murdering his female acquaintance, Ruth Amos, 28.
SP Ahmed Wakil, the state police spokesman, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi on Saturday that a police patrol squad spotted the deceased at Sabon Kaura on Oct. 7.
She was discovered in a pool of her own blood, with cuts on her skull and blood streaming from her mouth, he said.
“The person was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi where a medical doctor certified her dead.
“During the course of investigation, one Hajara Amos, aged 56 years of Bayara Village was identified as the deceased’s mother. She also identified the deceased as her daughter living with her.
According to Wakil, further inquiry revealed that the homicide was committed by Yohanna of Gwallameji Doka, also in Bauchi.
Yohanna readily confessed to the crime once he was apprehended, according to him.
“Further investigation revealed that Yohanna and Amos were in a romantic relationship that is blessed with two children.
“It was further revealed that on the day of the incident Yohanna sighted the deceased emerging from a house and attacked her out of jealousy.
“He challenged her and an argument ensued during which he pushed her and she hit her head on the ground,’’ the spokesman said
