Jack Wilshere Signs For Danish Side AGF Until End Of Season.
Jack Wilshere has signed a season-long contract with Danish club AGF.
After nearly a year without a club, the 30-year-old ex-Arsenal player has signed a short-term contract to return to professional sport.
After departing Bournemouth in May 2021, the former England midfielder passed a medical on Sunday, clearing the route for him to play again.
Prior to joining Bournemouth, Wilshere spent an inconsequential period after leaving Arsenal with West Ham, when he was let go by manager David Moyes despite claiming to be fit to play for the majority of his time in east London.
His AGF contract has the option of being extended for another year. He can be registered outside of the transfer window because he is currently without a club.
Wilshere surpassed all expectations when he made his Arsenal debut at the age of 16 in 2008, and he memorably trounced Pep Guardiola’s great Barcelona side while still a teenager.
However, fitness issues, notably with his ankle, kept him out of the first team for long periods of time.
