INEC Records 6m Fresh Voters.

As of 7 a.m. on Monday, February 21, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that 6,082,639 Nigerians had completed new registration in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

In a CVR Quarter 3, Week 7 update given on Monday in Abuja, the commission also revealed that 3,329,204 Nigerians have completed their registration at the time of the update.

It further stated that 1,373,240 people registered online, while 1,955,964 people registered in person, with 28,711 people with disabilities (PWDs).

It was observed that 1,675,318 men and 1,653,886 women completed their registrations, with 2,310,554 youngsters between the ages of 18 and 34 being the majority.

It also revealed that 10,329,413 million registered voters submitted requests for voter transfer, replacement of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and voter information record updates.

Male voters submitted 5,506,557 million applications, female voters submitted 4,822,856 million, and PWDS submitted 100,610.
