Rotimi Amaechi, the transport minister, has declared himself the best presidential candidate among other contenders, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC national leader Bola Tinubu, and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
He said this on Monday while consulting with Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, about his presidential ambitions.
Mr. Amaechi, 56, portrayed himself as a link between the younger and elder generations in the country.
The Minister praised Oba Ogunwusi for conserving and promoting Yoruba culture, noting that he chose Ile-Ife as the starting point for his consultations and visits because the ancient city is the wellspring.
