Hundreds March In Warri Honoring Tompolo, Campaign For Niger Delta Emancipation.

On Tuesday, April 12, a peace walk was staged in several locations in the Niger Delta, including Warri in Delta State, to commemorate High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo’s 51st birthday.

The walk took conducted in key cities across the Niger Delta at the same time.

Participants were spotted walking around major cities in all-white costumes, holding a banner indicating what they were honoring and listening to drummers and trumpeters perform popular melodies.

High Chief Government Ekpemupolo nicknamed Tompolo is a supporter of Niger Delta liberation. His initiatives, together with those of others, led significantly to the increase in the derivation budget provided by the Federal Government to the Niger Delta, the establishment of the NDDC, the Ministry of the Niger Delta, the Presidential Amnesty Programme, amongst others.
