#EndSARS Protesters Block Major Road In Delta

#EndSARS protesters have blocked movement around the popular Effurun Roundabout in Uvwie local government area of Delta state.

The protesters gathered in large numbers at the popular Effurun Roundabout carrying the national flag as well as placards with several inscriptions.

Some of the inscriptions read “if we don’t get the reform we need, we won’t stop protesting,” Soro soke #EndBADGOVERNANCE, #EndPOLICEBRUTALITY,” Fight for tomorrow now,” EndSARS, EndSWAT, among others.

They also demanded justice for slain victims of police brutality across Nigeria.

It is worthwhile to note that the Effurun Roundabout is a major inroad of the East-West Road in Delta State linking the South-South region.

Earlier, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed warned that the Federal Government will not allow the country to be thrown into anarchy following the violence that has trailed the #EndSARS protests.

The Minister gave the warning on Saturday when he featured on a late night news programme “Weekend File” of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).

Mohammed said Saturday’s alleged assassination attempt on Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, while addressing the protesters was a clear confirmation that the protests had been hijacked by hoodlums and people with ulterior agenda.
