Diri Condemns Bayelsa Courtroom Invasion.
Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri has strongly criticized hoodlums’ invasion of Justice Nayai Aganaba’s Court.
Diri stated this on Wednesday during the reception and launch of a book titled ‘Astute Judgments and Essays,’ which was written as part of celebrations commemorating Justice Aganaba’s retirement ceremony in Yenagoa.
He urged security services to work with the state government to provide appropriate security for judicial stakeholders so that they can carry out their constitutional responsibilities without fear of intimidation.
He praised the judiciary for its dedication to the administration of justice and the protection of society’s underprivileged and vulnerable members.
The governor praised Justice Aganaba as an intellectual, incorruptible, and courageous jurist who succeeded despite great challenges.
Diri also praised the State Chief Judge, Justice Kate Abiri, for her tenacity and dedication to duty, praising her efforts to ensure that Judicial officers and Judges were given their proper roles in consecutive administrations.
