According to the Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC), Delta topped Nigeria’s daily COVID-19 table on Tuesday, with 194 out of 599 cases.
On Wednesday morning, the NCDC announced it on its website.
From December 13 to December 27, 194 instances were reported at the centre.
According to the NCDC, the 599 cases reported on Tuesday were down from the 859 cases reported on Monday.
The NCDC also stated that Lagos State has recorded three COVID fatalities, bringing the total number of COVID deaths in the state to 760.
According to the agency, Lagos had 35 instances on Tuesday, while Ondo had 23.
Others are Edo-94, FCT-80,Kaduna – 48, Kano (21), Rivers (20), Kwara (20), Ogun (18), Plateau (12), Abia (8), Cross River (8), Ekiti (6), and Bauchi (3).
Since the breakout in 2020, the pandemic has claimed 3,027 deaths across the country, according to the NCDC.
Nigeria already has 239,010 COVID-19 cases, according to the report.
According to the NCDC, 213,180 people have been treated and released thus far.
According to the organization, the number of active cases in the country grew to 22, 803 on Tuesday, up from 22,586 on Monday.
According to the NCDC, the virus has been detected in 3,823,309 persons.
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre, activated at Level II, continues to coordinate national response actions, according to the statement.
