The NLC‘s Delta State Executive Council (SEC) has announced that it will mobilize its affiliates on January 27 to protest the Federal Government’s proposed increase in the country’s fuel pump price.

The workers’ union stated that it’s first meeting of the year was held on Wednesday in Asaba to discuss the Federal Government’s decision to raise the pump price of fuel from the existing N165 per litre.

The union stated in a communique issued by its Chairman, Goodluck Ofobruku, and Secretary, Innocent Ofuonyeadi, that the decision to hold the peaceful rally is under the directions of the NLC’s National Headquarters.
