Delta 2023: David Edevbie Emerges Consensus Candidate Of Urhobo Nation.
Olorogun David Edevbie has emerged as the consensus candidate and preferred option for the Urhobo Progress Union (PDP) in Delta State for the 2023 gubernatorial election on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
This was contained in a statement signed and distributed on Sunday by UPU’s President General, Olorogun Moses Taiga; 1st Deputy President General, Chief Anthony Onoharigho; and three others.
Before making its judgment on Olorogun Edevbie, the UPU had a brainstorming session with each of the Urhobo aspirants from the Delta Central Senatorial District, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the UPU asked all Urhobo sons to support and work with the consensus choice of sociocultural organization, while pleading with the State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to forgive Edevbie for any perceived infraction.
The UPU claimed that it will also communicate with all Urhobo aspirants in the All Progressive Congress (APC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Labour Party (LP), and any other parties in order to field the best candidates in those parties’ primaries.
