The latest appointment terminations affect the Air Force, Army, and Navy, with the Army accounting for 25 of the senior commanders.
An unidentified source told pressmen that Irabor gave this command on Monday at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
At a 2 p.m. meeting, the CDS congratulated them for their service and informed everyone present that it was past time for them to leave office.
The Course 36 Generals, on the other hand, have more than three years till retirement.
According to the source: “They are about 50; 2 of them in the Army will retire in 2022, while the rest have about 3 and half years left in service”.
