The Presidency has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday address a joint session of the National Assembly.
This was made known in a tweet posted by the President’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie.
The tweet read: “FireFLASHFire, FireFLASHFire President @MBuhari will address a joint session of the National Assembly (@nassnigeria) on Thursday 10th December 2020.”
Ijaw News had earlier reported how the House of Representatives summoned the president to answer questions on the worsening security situation in the country.
This followed a motion adopted by members of the lower chamber over the persistent insurgent attacks in the country.
It is, however, unclear if the President will take questions from the lawmakers.
