Premier League Strips Abramovich Of Chelsea Directorship, Approve Sale Of Club

BREAKING: UK Government Sanction Chelsea Owner, Roman Abramovich Can’t Sell Club.

The UK government has sanctioned Roman Abramovich, and as a result, he will not be allowed to sell Chelsea.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said the 55-year-old was subject to a comprehensive asset freeze and travel restriction, along with seven other people.

As a result, the 55-year-old won’t be able to offload Chelsea.

When he acquired Chelsea in 2003, the Russian billionaire ushered in a new era for the club and the Premier League. However, after 19 years in command, Abramovich has announced his decision to sell Chelsea and made his plans public last week.

Chelsea was reported to be able to continue business as a football club after receiving a sports license, but according to the BBC, the club would be unable to sell match day tickets or merchandising.
