Be Fair To All Aspirants, Otuaro Urges Delta State PDP Working Committee.
Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, a frontline governorship hopeful in Delta State, encouraged members of the People’s Democratic Party’s State Working Committee on Wednesday to be fair and just to all aspirants during the party’s primaries.
Otuaro, who is also the State Deputy Governor, stated this when he paid a visit to the State PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, and other members of the state working committee at the party secretariat in Asaba.
Barrister Otuaro stated that the PDP has retained its political supremacy in the state due to the party’s leadership’s commitment to sailing the ship since 1998.
He stated that the purpose of his visit is to formally inform the party’s leadership of his decision to run for governor and to pledge his commitment to the party, emphasizing the importance of the party being fair to all aspirants because power belongs to God.
The forefront candidate stated that he believes he would be elected as the state’s next governor by the grace of God and with their support.
He stated that as Deputy Governor, he has carried out his responsibilities with a strong sense of duty and to the best of his ability, and that his appointment as Deputy Governor was due to divine providence.
Governor Okowa, according to Deacon Otuaro, has succeeded well in the governance of the state, with clear policies and programs that have translated into actual development across the state.
The Deputy Governor stated that whoever succeeds Governor Okowa must comprehend the workings of the Okowa administration’s policies and programs, as well as the institutional frameworks that have given birth to progress in the state.
Deacon Otuaro stated that he is in a better position to succeed the governor since he has worked closely with him as Deputy since 2015 and will be able to continue from where the Governor leaves off.
He insisted that he would be able to articulate the various reforms implemented by the Okowa administration for the benefit of everybody, stressing that he possesses the capacity, expertise, and temperament to steer the ship of state.
However, the State PDP chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, promised the Deputy Governor that the party, under his leadership, would not pander to feelings and would instead give an equal playing ground for all party contenders.
Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, who has served as Deputy Governor for the previous seven years, must have gained the essential experience to manage the state as governor, he said, characterizing him as a leader, dependable, and thoroughbred politician.
Olorogun Esiso urged the Deputy Governor to continue canvassing support from state delegates and holding state-wide meetings.
