Bayern Munich lost 2-1 to Borussia Moenchengladbach at home on Friday, after COVID 19 forced the Bundesliga leaders to announce a makeshift lineup after nine players tested positive for the coronavirus.
Bayern took an early lead thanks to Robert Lewandowski’s 20th league goal of the season, but Gladbach responded with two goals in four first-half minutes from Florian Neuhaus and Stefan Lainer.

Despite the defeat in Munich, Bayern Munich still leads the table by nine points, but second-placed Borussia Dortmund may cut the gap on Saturday at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gladbach moved up to 11th position in the rankings with their second win against Bayern this season, after thrashing them 5-0 in the German Cup last October.
