Bayelsa Community Gives Shell, Agip December 31 Deadline To Comply With GMoU

People of Olodiama Clan in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have issued a one month ultimatum to international oil giants, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Agip Oil Company.

Residents of the community gave the ultimatum during a protest to express their displeasure over the neglect of the community by the oil blocs

They blasted ijaw community leaders, who they accuse of compromising the wellbeing of the indigenes for their personal material gains

They also unanimously gave a December 31st ultimatum for both Shell and Agip company to comply with the already existing GMOU as they plead state Government attention to meddle into the matter.
