Aubameyang Returns To Gabon Training After Negative COVID-19 Result.

After testing negative for Covid-19, Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang resumed training with the Gabon team before Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana.

The 32-year-old, who is out of favour at Arsenal and was stripped of his captaincy last month, and Mario Lemina, who tested positive last week, were both absent from Gabon’s 1-0 win against Comoros on Monday.

Coach Patrice Neveu, on the other hand, is being isolated after testing positive, according to the Gabonese football association.

Gabon’s preparations for the biannual continental showcase competition have been rocky.

The Gabonese government had to settle a dispute between the players and the federation over match bonuses, while the Confederation of African Football (CAF) chastised them for changing hotels in Yaounde in violation of the regulations.
