The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amensty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd.) has revealed that his administration new vision at the Federal Government intervention is to produce more successfull business owners and job providers in the like of the Bolowuo born ex- agitator, High Chief Bibopere Ajube.
Dikio noted that the former leader of Niger-Delta freedom fighters, stands as one of the success stories recorded by the Federal Government through the Presidential Amensty Programme by transforming from an agitator to a successful entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Bradama International Skills Work LTD., Agadagba-Obon.
The IA made the statement in his Goodwill message on Saturday, at this year Arogbo-Ibe Day Celebration in Ese-Odo council area of Ondo State, where Chief Ajube was elevated as Beleukoriwei (Pathfinder) of Arogbo-Ijaw kingdom by His Imperial Majesty Pere (Barr) Zaccheaus Doubra Ejbunu JP, FCA, the paramount ruler of Arogbo-Ijaw Ibe.
The conferment of the new traditional title on High Chief Ajube was held at Agadagba’s Palace in Arogbo while reception took place at Road 2, House 1, God’s own City, Agadagba Obon all in Ese-Odo Local Government in Ondo State.
Col. Dixon Dikio who chaired the event, was joined other eminent personalities including; the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Chief Timi Alaibe, MHR representing Ilaje/ Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Hon Kolade Akinjo, Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu.
Other dignitaries are; Ondo State Commissioner of Finance, Hon Wale Akinterinwa, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr Raimi Aminu, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon Donald Ojogo, MHA Ese-Odo Constituency, Hon Torhukerhijo Success, former Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador, Yusuf Mammah, Chief Olusola Oke SAN, Chief Tunde Smooth and others.
Dikio said the former fighter and celebrant has proved to be a worthy ambassador of Arogbo-Ibe, the Ijaw Nation and the entire Niger-Delta region, having made every ex-agitators and leaders in the region proud, evidence of which deflected on the arrays of dignitaries that came from far and near to identified with High Chief Ajube .
“We at PAP, are particularly happy to identify and partner with High Chief Ajube, the Beleukoriwei of Arogbo-Ijaw Ibe, who as an ex-agitator, dropped his guns, embraced the Federal Government Amnesty and today as a successful enterpreneur, has trained about 1000 ex-agitators in different life savings skills through the Presidential Amensty Programme (PAP) delegates’ training programme.
“In April this year, I was here in Bradama International Skills Work Ltd., for the graduation ceremony of 200 PAP delegates that had completed six months training programme in weldering and fabrication, industrial painting and scaffoldings; and if I may let you know, it was a great and successfull experience.
“The Ajube and Bradama Success story is what propelled us at PAP to want to step up our game not only to train the delegates in skills, but further provide all round mentorship and employment training programme for our next delegates, where they too can go ahead and be fully employed or be successfull enterpreneurs in their chosen vocations after the training.
While congratulating the celebrant for the new elevation, Dikio urged the leaders of the former freedom fighters, ex-agitators and vibrant youths in the Niger-Delta to pursue greatness and excel in enterpreneurship rather than relairing on the N65,000 monthly stipend paid by the PAP office.
In his own comments, the deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa noted that new title confered on Ajube “is a statement of all the good things and struggles you have been doing for your people as a very bold and courageous man, a trail blazer and pathfinder in Arogbo Nation” .
“It is recognition for your hard work, sacrifice for generations yet unborn, unwavering support for human capital development as well as mentoring of true entrepreneurs.
“You are a man that always wants development, empowerment and peace for your people”. Please continue to do more for your people, Ondo State and Nigeria…big Congratulations my brother”.
The Deputy Governor equally thanked all the Traditional Rulers in the State for their prayers and supports for Ondo State Government.
“Thank you all, our Traditional Rulers for the peace in your various community… these peace are the tonic of our government, a big thanks for showing the seed of love”, Aiyedatiwa stated.
In his thank you remark, High Chief Ajube thanked everyone present particularly Ondo State Governor who was represented by his Deputy and the interim administrator of PAP, Col. Dixon Dikio saying, “there is no doubt about the love I have for Arogbo Nation and humanity, so humanity should expect more from me”.
