APC Suspends Ondo Lawmaker For Anti-Party Activities

Trouble In APC Camp As New Faction Emerges, Disbands Caretaker Committee

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has expelled the lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency II at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Favour Shemilore Tomowemo from the party over alleged anti-party activities.

The lawmaker was expelled by party officials of Mahin Ward 4, Ilaje Constituency II, Ilaje Local government area of the state.

The expulsion letter jointly signed by the ward chairman, Mr. Olamigoke Ajimuda and secretary, Omosule Taid, accused Hon. Tomowemo of working against the party in the just concluded Ondo State governorship election.

They accused the lawmaker of directly mobilising and working for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in contravention to the constitution of the APC which sponsored him to the state House of Assembly.

They also alleged that the lawmaker, in addition to adorning himself with materials bearing the logo and insignia of the ZLP, exclusively funded and financed the activities of the ZLP before, during and after the gubernatorial polls.

The party subsequently approved his expulsion after investigations into the anti-party allegations levelled against her.
