APC Postpones Membership Registration Exercise Indefinitely

Trouble In APC Camp As New Faction Emerges, Disbands Caretaker Committee

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its proposed nationwide membership registration/revalidation exercise indefinitely

This was contained in a statement titled “Notice”, signed by the Secretary of the Caretaker/National Convention Planning Committee of the party, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, in Abuja, on Saturday.

The statement read, “We sincerely apologise on the postponement of the proposed All Progressives Congress party registration which was scheduled to take place on Monday 25th of January, 2021, now put on hold till further notice to be declared by the state chairman.

“We, therefore, implore all members and stakeholders, well-wishers and lovers willing to join our great party to put on hold till directive comes from above. Thanks for your cooperation.”

Ijaw News had earlier reported how the National Assembly postponed its resumption of plenary, initially billed for Tuesday, January 26th to Tuesday, February 9.

The notice of postponement was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Ojo Amos Olatunde, who regretted any inconvenience caused by the new resumption date.

He explained that the reason for the postponement was to enable members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) participate in the registration and revalidation of the party’s membership.
