Amb. Iji to be Installed ‘Araba’ of Apoiland, Nov.7

Nigeria Ambassador to the Republic of Togo, Amb. Sola Iji is expected to be Installed as the new Araba of Apoiland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Deacon (Prof) Sunday Amuseghan Lawe II, Kalasuwe and the Paramount Ruler of Apoi land.

According to a statement issued from the Palace of the Monarch in Oboro, Ese-Odo council area of Ondo State, signed by High Chief (Barr) Henry Ogbemerun,
the Bamofin of Apoi land and made available to, on Friday, the Kalasuwe “will on Sunday, 7th day of November, 2021 confer the Prestigious title: ARABA OF APOI LAND on Ambassador Sola Iji.”

According to the statement, the prestigious traditional title is being confered on Amb. Iji “in recognition of his leadership role in Apoi land.

“The ceremony will commence by 12 Noon @ the King’s Palace, King’s City, Oboro, Ese Odo Local Government of Ondo state.”

Iji, a lawyer and former Ondo State Chairman of defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a party that fused into the other political parties in 2014 to form All Progressives Congress (APC), hails from Igbotu in Ese-Odo council area of Ondo State.
