Akerodolu's Impact In Ondo State Is Not Evident - Jegede

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has promised to outperform Governor Rotimi Akeredolu if elected governor of the state. 

Jegede who said this on Wednesday at the Ondo State Governorship debate held that Akeredolu’s claims of having impacted the lives of the Ondo People in the last three and half years are not evident.

The PDP candidate said it was time for a more holistic, honest, and practical view of governance and his experience in the public and private sector was important to effect positive change.

He revealed that his government if elected will grow the state’s economy and confront challenges in the health and education sectors.

Health facilities in Ondo State – according to him – are not in good shape, and the high-cost of medicare is putting a strain on the lives of the people especially pregnant women and children.

On the education sector, the PDP candidate said he was pained by the challenges faced by students within the various tertiary institutions in the state, adding that he will look into the cost of tuition which tends now to be depriving many young people of getting the education they desire.

Jegede also vowed to make jobs available for the youths by engaging the private sector.

He also pledged to address issues in the agricultural sector in a fresh new way by taking a stock of performance and seeing what way output can be increased.
