The Ondo State Government on Friday delivered relief goods to victims of a gunman assault in the Molege village of the state’s Ose Local Government area.

The relief items, according to the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who spoke at the ceremony in Akure, the state capital, were intended to mitigate the impact of the assault on the victims.

Gbenga Akingbasote, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, represented Akeredolu, who stated that the state government will continue to identify with them.

He encouraged Dennis Adekunle, the Chairman of the Ose Local Government, who received the items on behalf of the victims, to ensure that they were given to the correct persons.

Security of lives and property, as well as the welfare of the people of the state, were top priorities for Akeredolu.

The governor’s generosity was appreciated by the LG head, as was the governor’s prompt responsiveness to the situation when it occurred.

The act, according to Adekunle, demonstrated that the governor is a man of his words and has kept his pledge made during his post-attack visit to the village.

“This is a pointer that our’ talk and do governor’ means business,” Adekunle said.

Food, mattresses, diapers, and mosquito nets are just a few of the humanitarian supplies delivered.

On January 6, at least three persons were allegedly shot dead by gunmen who stormed the neighborhood.
