2023 Elections: Ijaw Youths Endorse Emmanuel Uduaghan for Senate

The 2023 general elections are just over a year away and youths of Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri, and Urhobo descent from the Delta South Senatorial District have endorsed former Governor Dr Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan for Senate to represent the district in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Abuja, under the auspices of the Nigeria Youth Movement For Good Governance.

The group, which acknowledged that the Senatorial District truly needed positive change in the Red Chambers in Abuja, said in a press release signed by Eniye Mathew Sawacha, National Co-ordinator, Comrade Paul Akpowaide, Secretary, Comrade Edirin Okene, Public Relations Officer, and Mr Buwa Tsemaye, Assistant Secretary, made available to journalists in Warri, Delta State, that Dr Uduaghan’s record as former Governor of Delta State.

According to the group, Dr. Uduaghan has an excellent political antecedent to put a smile on the faces of our diverse communities, thus we should support him in his senatorial bid in 2023.

They asked residents of Delta South Senatorial District to vote for Dr. Uduaghan for Senate because, according to the organization, the former Governor has effectively left his mark on Delta State’s history.

Former Governor Uduaghan built the Effurun and Asaba Flyovers to alleviate traffic congestion in Effurun and the Asaba Inter-Junction, respectively.

The well-known Agbada Olomu Olomu Bridge, which was started by Ibori and finished by Dr. Uduaghan, is also on the record according to the Ijaw Youths.
