2023: Akwa-Ibom Governor Names Pastor Umo Eno, As Successor.

Emmanuel Udom, Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, put several months of conjecture and permutations to rest on Sunday when he named the commissioner of Lands, Pastor Umo Eno, as his chosen choice to replace him as Governor in 2023.

Pastor Eno was introduced Sunday evening at the Governor’s Lodge in Uyo during a well-attended PDP Stakeholders’ Meeting.

Former Governor Obong Victor Attah made the formal presentation of the governor’s successor to stakeholders, which included major and leading political chieftains from the three senatorial districts, who all applauded the choice and pledged to work towards his emergence as the state’s governor in 2023.

Eno said after his presentation about growing up in police barracks and how awful those days were, but he summoned optimism to overcome such hardships.
